My love for Vintage and Thrifted Pieces๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ”˜

Happy Blessed Sunday Loves!! I hope your weekend is going well! I’m so excited to share with you my love for thrifting and vintage pieces. If you have been following my Instagram stories as well as my Facebook stories on my blog pages, you’ve seen some of the beautiful Vintage belts, that were actually given to me as a gift.

I was gifted 16 vintage belts, 15 of which you’ll see here on the blog by someone I’ve never met, but feel like I’ve known almost all my life. Her name is Carolyn Harris and her Husband Bruce “Mr. Harris” Gifted me some of the most beautiful belts from the 80’s and 90’s.

Carolyn was my husbands piano teacher from the age of 12, and she and Mr. Harris were married for about 50 years, and like my husband and I, they loved to travel and enjoyed life, and truly lived. The year my husband and I started to date, 2014, is the year she passed. My husband is like a son to Bruce and Carolyn, and I like a daughter. A daughter to a woman that I’ve never known, but grown to love.

After she passed I got to know and love Mr. Harris and the rest is history. So, when one day last year he just randomly led us to their room and said “I think Carolyn would have loved for you to have these”, I knew it was her who told him to gift them to me.

Right then and there, I knew, she had grown to love me, by watching me come around the house, whenever we visited Texas in the last 5 years, having coffee with Mr. harris and my husband, keeping her memory alive!

Me wearing her most beautiful belts, in memoriam of Mrs. Harris is both an honor and a privilege! She lived her 80 blessed years with grace and style! I’m so glad that I was chosen to keep a piece of who she is alive!

Thank you to all of you who expressed your love for the belts, saw yourselves wearing them, and even saw one or two that reminded you of your mom! It touches my heart when you guys are engaged with the content I put out, especially this in particular. ๐ŸŒน

Thank you for reading and sticking around with me on your weekend! You definitely will be seeing these belts pop out for Fall/Winter. If you haven’t already, check out my last post Mixed Prints,White Booties and Vintage Belts ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ“ธ where I actually feature two of the belts with the cutest cheetah print dress!

Below are just two pieces I recently picked up from Thrifting! The sequin clutch is actually a tablet case! I plan to wear it as a day to evening clutch! The earrings I love sooo much, and may just have to wait until next summer to rock. I love thrift shopping, and I hope to do a feature on all things thrifted soon! This week, and next, you’ll definitely see one these items below make its debut. Until then, All the lords blessings!โœจ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’ซ In Loving Memory of Mrs. Carolyn M.
