⤴️Shifting Focus🌟

Happy Saturday loves! 🌟✨Can I be real with y’all? This week was a bit challenging for me.

Mentally, and emotionally, and if I’m being completely honest, physically as well! I didn’t exercise all week 😩 I was mentally, physically and even emotionally exhausted!

There is so much happening on out in the world-society, as well as in our inner worlds-our minds, that sometimes all we need is a break from both.

However, for me, this week I made it a point to start a new devotion on Anxiety called “anxious for nothing”. I posted the link for you guys below. What stood out most for me were these scriptures Philippians 4:6-7 which says:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

And Isaiah 26:3 which says:

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”.

I’ve honestly allowed all of what I “need” to do and “want” to do, consume my mind lately. When all God wanted was for me to sit down and listen to him. Unbeknownst to me, with much teeth pulling, lol,  I’ve shifted my focus on him.

Now let me go ahead and let y’all know, that the struggle is real, real! 😂 It was a hard thing, b/c all my mind wanted to do, and all I heard all around me, was “you should worry”!

Worry about deadlines, bills, inner struggles, you name it! Shifting my focus only got easier, when I let go and listened to his voice, Jesus’ voice. It’s still a process, but I’m where I need to be right at this very moment, talking to you, and in my own way, encouraging you to do the same.

Life is hard! It’s beautiful too! But it’s a lot harder doing this thing on your own. Why don’t you give God a try 🙂

Along with this peace shift, as a realist, I know there are things, even for me, that one can shift focus and perspective on in addition to all that I’ve talked about. “GIVING YOUR MIND A BREAK”

I read a meme this week that said “Allow yourself to have a “healthy distraction” Give your mind a break, you deserve it”. Initially, I agreed! I’m like yea! That’s a good idea! Give your mind a break! Go paint, go to dance class, run a marathon! Lol! But honestly, now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t want to be distracted! I want to live and enjoy what I’m doing, not be distracted with something in order to have to go back and deal with the same inner issues!

It’s like playing ping pong with your mind and emotions. No! I want to live and live abundantly! I don’t want to be distracted with what I’m doing! I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor!

And so, it falls right back to your mind being at peace. So that when you go to bed at night, and as the lords peace surrounds you, you can rest knowing that he’s got you! You don’t need to be distracted with what he has for you b/c he said “but I came to give you life and life more abundantly” No distractions, but Life abundantly! 💛

I do hope I’ve encouraged you on this beautiful Saturday afternoon! I give God the glory b/c I believe that we don’t go through things, hard things just for our ourselves, but for others as well! Im so glad that I could share this with you all, and release what God had for you, who’s reading this. He had you in mind💕💕 He’s good! He’s just like that 🙌🏽🌟

Thank y’all for sticking around and as promised, below is the link to the devotion as well as my most asked about outfit detailed and some Saturday slay for all my fashionistas! Be blessed! 😘
